Wine Company "Barakoni" was founded in 2015 and is located in the Racha-Lechkhumi viticulture and winemaking region, in the village of Bostana, Ambrolauri Municipality. The company was named "Barakoni" because of one of the main cultural monuments of Racha, Barakoni Church. The name is associated with antiquity and cultural strength, the preservation and multifaceted development of which (merging with modernity) is the main mission of the company. The founder of the company is winemaker-technologist Kakhaber Gordeziani, who has many years of experience in the field of winemaking.
Winery "Barakoni" is focused on wine tourism, which in turn includes a kind of acquaintance and their cognition, what the business does, what its history is and also presents the services it can offer to have a good time for guests. The company has cultivated a vineyard on an area of 3 hectares and mainly cultivates: Alexandreuli, Mujuretli and Rachuli (Tsulukidze) Tetra grapes. It should be noted that this area is characterized by the intensity of the sun, which allows us to get the highest quality grapes, with the appropriate sugar content. Winery "Barakoni" produces Racha-Lechkhumi wines: "Khvanchkara", "Alexandreuli", "Tsulukidze Tetra", "Usakhelauri", "Tvishi" and "Barakoni".
The factory has its own grape processing line and a modernly equipped wine cellar. The company makes wine in both European and traditional methods - in Qvevri. Locationy, with its views and nature, contributes to the interest of tourists. Visitors are also introduced to the history of Racha-Lechkhumi and wine in general, all this creates a pleasant and interesting environment.
